Iris was born in Brooklyn, New York on January 19, 1949. But she was truly a citizen of the world. She speaks three languages four if you count Whale! The other three are French, Danish, and English.

Iris spent her youth studying dance, movement and theater. She would work with a number of different companies doing everything from Decroux mime to Butoh to Feminist musical theater and somewhere along that timeline she found the time to go to Thailand to study classical dance forms. This was Iris - eclectic, dynamic, of the moment! I've never witnessed such a work ethic! 

 

Following her theater career Iris spent years as a life coach and fitness expert with a focus on adults with special needs.
